Block Auto Distributions

Block Auto Distributions for Labor Distribution and/or Job Costing

Auto distributions for labor assignments and/or jobs cannot be manually overridden unless the auto distribution is blocked.

Block Auto Distributions for the Entire Payroll

To block auto distribution for an entire payroll, select Block Auto Distributions on Unpaid Checks under Payroll Entry Options.

After Block Auto Distributions on Unpaid Checks under Payroll Entry Options in the Payroll Entry view is selected, it changes to Unblock Auto Distributions on Unpaid Checks. This option allows you to turn auto distributions back on.

Block Auto Distributions for an Individual Check

1. Auto distributions can be blocked using one of the following options:

   • From the Pay Entry grid.
     
     
     or

   • Select Edit for the check in the Payroll Entry data table to access Expanded view.

2. Select Auto Dist On in the Job or Labor Assignment field to display the Select Job or Select Labor Assignment screen.

3. Select a job or labor assignment from the list.

4. In the grid, enter the hours to be distributed.

   In Expanded view, if you subscribe to Labor Distribution, the Labor Assignment column displays. If you subscribe to Job Costing, the Job column displays. In Grid view, you can add the Labor Assignment column and/or Job column using a custom layout. If you subscribe to both Labor Distribution and Job Costing and a labor assignment is selected to block auto distributions, the Job column defaults to the home job if one exists, or to blank. If necessary, you can select the Job column to change the job. If you subscribe to both Labor Distribution and Job Costing and a job is selected to block auto distributions, the Labor Assignment column defaults to the home labor assignment. If necessary, you can select the Labor assignment column to change the labor assignment.

5. To apply auto distributions again, select the Job or Labor Assignment field, then select Auto Distribution On in the Select Job or Select Labor Assignment screen.

   When auto distribution is re-applied, any manual distributions you entered are removed.
